Lent Almsgiving

"Prayer and fasting are good, but better than either is almsgiving accompanied by righteousness ... It is better to give alms than to store up gold; for almsgiving saves one from death and expiates every sin. Those who regularly give alms shall enjoy a full life" (Tob 12:8-9).

As part of the Lent almsgiving, ICC is recommending these three ideas for you to consider. However, we encourage you to give to whatever charity of your preference.

1. Caritas Fundraising buat korban gempa Sulawesi Barat (End of February). KKI-Houston is coordinating fundraising event to support the earthquake victims in Sulawesi Barat. If you are interested in contributing, please send the money through Zelle to t[email protected]. All donations must be made by end of February.
2. Saint Vincent de Paul Society through Holy Family of Nazareth (HFN). The donations will help the food pantry to support our brothers and sisters who are struggling with putting food on the table. You can donate through the HFN Online Giving website. Please pick Saint Vincent de Paul in the “Fund” drop down.
